Top Tips for going vegan this #Veganuary

We still haven’t quite gotten over the excitement of launching our epic new vegan Meringue Bars last month, just in time for #Veganuary! We’ve got all your snacking needs covered, but what other ways can we help to make this #Veganuary the best one yet?

 

Know why you’re doing it.

Whether it’s to challenge yourself to try something new, for ethical reasons or for health, it’s important to understand what’s driving you to take on this new lifestyle.

 

Be kind to yourself

There will be times that are harder than others to stick to your new food plan, especially if your best friend is sat next to you enjoying an epic cheeseburger! If you’re worried about temptation, don’t pile on the pressure! Try transitioning slowly by cutting out certain foods one at a time.

 

Balance

Eat a well balanced diet and make sure you’re not depriving yourself of any nutrients. Take extra supplements such as B12, Vitamin D and Iron to help balance your diet. Make sure you eat well balanced meals – if you’re hungry, eat!

 

Meal plan

Make life easier and plan simple vegan meals in advance so that your fridge is full of everything you need when it comes to prepping and cooking your meals.

 

Treat yo’self

Remember that going vegan doesn’t mean you have to deprive yourself of the good stuff! There are so many amazing plant based snacks these days to get your hands on, including our own vegan Meringue Bars in Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and Double M*lk Chocolate!

 

Talk to others

One of the best things you can do is to socialise with likeminded people who are also on the #Veganuary journey with you! It’s a great way to feel like part of a community and share tips, recipes and experiences.
